Trelawny cop shot, injured

A police corporal was shot at his home in Coral Spring near Duncans at around 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Marvin Marsh, 38, and his girlfriend returned and home and noticed that the house had been broken into.

Marsh, who is attached to the Stewart Town station was in the process of checking the premises when he was pounced on by two masked men.

A tussle ensued and Marsh was shot in the keg and stabbed on his left arm.

The men fled the scene and Marsh was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where he is being treated.

His condition is not considered serious.
