Motorists using the Mandela Highway this weekend may experience slight delays when using the westbound carriage.

The westbound carriageway takes vehicular traffic from the direction of Kingston towards Spanish Town.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says that traffic could be impacted when using the section of the corridor in the vicinity of the Jamaica Public Service’s (JPSCo’s) Duhaney Substation.

He says the work is a continuation of last weekend's effort to facilitate the laying of conduits to accommodate JPSCo’s high voltage cables.

Shaw said that the exercise will commence at 9 p.m. on Saturday and is expected to be completed by noon on Sunday.

The motoring public is being urged to obey the instructions of flag-persons and posted warning signs and to use alternate routes if they so desire.
