Dancehall entertainer Squash is a free man
MoBay native and fast-rising dancehall artiste Squash Six Boss is now a free man.
Squash, given name Andre' Whittaker, was being held under the Emergency Powers Act.
He was reportedly taken into custody on August 8 during the State of Public Emergency in MoBay.
The entertainer, 27, who grew to prominence over the past several months while spending much of his time in custody of the police, took to social media to let fans know he was free.
In a video on Instagram, Sqaush sings, "Wash away my sins, wash away my sins, wash mi truly ... mi want yuh prove me Fada God. Look how much fight, look pan six boss me neven hype..."
The artiste, in the 26-second video, also said that popular entertainment manager Heavy D is a member of his team.
Squash is known for hits songs such as 'Trending', 'Money Fever' and 'Over Come'.
