Keznamdi gets personal on 'Skyline Levels'
Four years after releasing his breakthrough Bridging the Gap EP, which catapulted to top tier positions on the iTunes and Billboard Reggae Album charts, reggae artiste Keznamdi is back with his sophomore project, Skyline Levels Vol. 1, which will be available worldwide at all digital outlets tomorrow.
His latest project is being distributed by the renowned Empire Distribution based in San Francisco, California. The eight-track Skyline Levels Vol. 1 project is very diverse in its offerings with So Right and Lost Love, exploring love and relationship issues, while She Is A Queen and God's Design provide messages of female empowerment and upliftment.
The entire project was penned and recorded at Keznamdi's home studio nestled in the lush hills of Skyline Drive in Upper St Andrew. His studio compound is also dubbed Skyline Levels, thus the name of this project represents personal and intimate experiences in the life of Keznamdi.
The 25-year-old singer also donned his producer's cap on this project, producing six of the eight tracks with local musicians. The other two tracks were produced by German heavyweight producers Silly Walks Disco and Lance-a-lot Productions.
"We have been working on this project for the past 10 months, so I am really excited to be blessing the universe with new sounds. There has definitely been a lot of growth personally and musically since the last project, so listeners will hear a more mature side of me. I think the world is hungry for more music now so I am just here to deliver that soulful, conscious music without expectations and limitations," Keznamdi said.
A music video for one of the powerhouse tracks, Victory, which features Chronixx will be released simultaneously with the project on Friday.
