A senior citizen along St John's Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine is beaming with joy this morning after her poultry farm survived the gushing flood waters that overflowed the banks of a gully that runs behind her house.
"See them deh all of them wet up, oh, my God," Margaret Williams, 82, told THE STAR.
He chickens, despite getting wet, have so far survived the weather.
"Thank God, but I don't know if I will lose them because the rain nuh done."
She said the flood waters broke the banks of the river late yesterday evening.
"When I came out this morning the plants in the front of the yard were swimming," Williams said.

"I don't have to buy eggs and I sell some so I wouldn't want anything to happen to them," Williams said.
