National prayer vigil set for December 10
The 25th annual National Prayer Vigil will be held on Sunday, December 10, on the grounds of King's House from 6 to 9 p.m.
This was announced by chairman of the National Prayer Vigil Committee, Rev Dr Roy Henry, at a press briefing at King's House, on Wednesday.
The event, which will be held under the theme Justice, Unity, Peace and Healing, is being hosted by the local Ministers' Fraternal under the patronage of Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon Sir Patrick Allen.
Providing an overview of the vigil, Henry said this year's event will see more than 300 churches taking part.
He urged all Jamaicans to join the committee on that day in prayer to invite God's blessings on the nation.
