Church group wants to join Xodus
Members of the Ekklesia Bible Fellowship (EBF) were out in their numbers yesterday in support of carnival in Jamaica.
The religious group said is not against the carnival activities in Jamaica, as it is one of the things that also brings people together.
One of the members, Omoro Griffiths, told The STAR: "It's the best time for us to reach out to people not to preach but share love; that's what it's all about."
According to Griffiths, the Praise Academy of Dance, which he has travelled with them in the past, is part of the Walk Only band, that participated in Crop Over in Barbados.
It is in their plans to create a group like that in Barbados and be part of the Xodus band, which coincidentally, mirrors the name of a book in the Bible (Exodus), in the future.
Yesterday, some of the members of the church, which is located at 32 Hope Road, handed out free bottles of Living Water to masqueraders.
The EBF members were stationed on Lady Musgrave Road viewing all the bands. They also gave out printed tracks with parts of 'The Bible'.
