Police officers attached to the Hunts Bay Police Station in St Andrew are said to be on a manhunt for persons suspected of putting them on a hit list.

The WEEKEND STAR learnt that two men were picked up during a raid earlier this week and taken into custody.

Their belongings, including a cell phone, were seized.

The news team understands that the cell phone was searched, and it was discovered that a group was having conversations about targeting specific persons from the station.

It is alleged that the men who were having the conversation are a part of a gang that wants to get rid of officers at the station.

The police confirmed that the names of five cops from the police station were mentioned in the messages, and that the matter has been a subject of discussion for some time.

It was also confirmed that the two men are still in police custody, and an investigation has been launched into the matter.
